New Releases from Three Fires Wine & Skipping Stone Cellars – September 2014
We are pleased to announce the immediate release of four delicious new wines for 2014. Autumn is the perfect time to experience brilliant fall foliage, crystal blue waters that surround us on the Leelanau Peninsula and taste exceptional Michigan wine. Visit our tasting rooms in Suttons Bay.
2013 Unoaked Chardonnay
Fans of our 2012 Unoaked Chardonnay were disappointed that we sold out in less than nine months, but fans will more than pleased with our 2013 vintage. Deep in flavor with better fruit definition that our first vintage, our 2013 is already a crowd pleaser.
2013 Inland Sea Rosé
Taste the exceptional complexity of this dry rosé wine carefully crafted from Saignee ‘bleeds’ of red vinifera – Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir & more. Unofficially released on September 25th in a small 30-case quantity, this world-class wine is selling faster than expected. Get yours before it’s gone.
2012 Franconia Reserve
Our first release of 2012 Lemberger sold out quickly after Master Sommelier, Madeline Triffon, chose it to demonstrate the quality potential of Michigan red wines in a tasting event at Plum Market in West Bloomfield. For our new release, we called the “Reserve” bottling by its Italian name, “Franconia.” Dry red wine enthusiasts will love the rich aromas and complex flavors of this one-of-a-kind Michigan wine.
2013 Bay View Red
Our first release of a Skipping Stone Cellars red wine is a hit! Overflowing with aromas and flavors of creamy cheesecake and boysenberry jam, this sweet red wine not only pleases the pallet of sweet wine drinkers, but dry wine enthusiasts like it as well.
